Some weddings are grand, some are elegant, and some feel like home. Dylan & Ashley’s wedding at Cricket Creek Farm was the perfect mix of down-to-earth charm, classic country romance, and high-energy fun. With a scenic outdoor ceremony, a barn reception filled with heartfelt moments, and a dance floor that never slowed down, their big day was a true celebration of love, family, and music.
A Heartfelt Ceremony in the Fields 🌿💍
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Cricket Creek Farm, Dylan & Ashley’s wedding ceremony was as beautiful as it was personal. Guests arrived at 4:30 PM, taking in the breathtaking views of the open fields before the ceremony began at 5:00 PM.
The bridal party walked down the aisle to the timeless melody of “Canon in D” on piano and cello, setting a classic and elegant tone. Then, Ashley made her entrance to “A Thousand Years” by The Piano Guys, an emotional moment as she walked toward Dylan.
After a heartfelt exchange of vows, the newlyweds made their joyful exit to “Take My Name” by Parmalee, marking the beginning of their next chapter as husband and wife.
Cocktail Hour & A Warm Farmhouse Reception 🍹🌾
Following the ceremony, guests moved to the barn for cocktail hour, where a curated mix of country and classic rock created a relaxed yet upbeat atmosphere.
As the sun set over the farm, it was time to introduce the wedding party and kick off the reception:
🎶 Parents of the Bride & Groom: “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” by Stevie Wonder
🎶 Bridal Party: “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC
🎶 The Newlyweds: “Shipping Up to Boston” by Dropkick Murphys
With a mix of laughter, excitement, and a touch of Boston pride, the energy was set for an unforgettable night.
An Emotional First Dance & Family Traditions 🎶❤️
Dylan & Ashley shared their first dance to “You” by Jason Cassidy, a song that perfectly reflected their love story.
The parent dances followed, bringing even more emotion to the evening:
👨👧 Father/Daughter Dance: “Red Robin” by Clark Richard
👩👦 Mother/Son Dance: “Her Little Man” by Jami Grooms
Later in the night, they held an Anniversary Dance to “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw, celebrating the longest-married couples in attendance—a beautiful tribute to lasting love.
Dinner, Toasts & A Cake-Cutting Moment 🍽️🎂
Dinner was a delicious spread catered by Bounti Fare, enjoyed under the warm lighting of the barn. Maid of Honor Kim DiLego and Best Man Damon Grimes delivered heartfelt toasts, sharing memories and well-wishes that had everyone smiling.
As the evening continued, Dylan & Ashley cut their wedding cake, followed by a full night of dancing, singing, and celebration!
The Dance Floor: Country Meets Classic Rock 🤠🎸
Ashley & Dylan wanted a mix of 90s-modern country and classic rock, keeping the dance floor full all night. With guests spanning multiple generations, the playlist was a perfect blend of timeless singalongs and high-energy dance hits.
🎶 From AC/DC to Tim McGraw, Elvis to Dropkick Murphys, there was something for everyone. And of course, the night wouldn’t have been complete without a final dance to “The Rest of Our Lives” by Tim McGraw & Faith Hill—the perfect way to close out a night filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
