Some weddings are timeless, and Michael & Sarah’s elegant yet fun-filled summer wedding at Pond House Café in Hartford was exactly that. From heartfelt traditions to a dance floor filled with energy, their special day was a perfect blend of classic romance and modern celebration.

A Meaningful Ceremony in a Historic Church 💍✨

Michael & Sarah began their wedding day with a beautiful ceremony at St. Patrick/St. Anthony Church in Hartford, CT. With the warm glow of stained glass windows and the presence of family and friends, their vows felt even more special. The ceremony featured personal readings from loved ones and an officiant who helped make the moment both meaningful and memorable.

Cocktail Hour: A Soundtrack from the Stars 🎶🚀

As guests made their way to Pond House Café, they were greeted with a uniquely fun cocktail hour playlist—the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack! This set the perfect tone for a wedding that was elegant but also filled with personality and nostalgia.

A Grand Entrance & Romantic First Dance 🎤💃

Michael & Sarah made their entrance as Mr. & Mrs. Griffin to Public Service Announcement by Jay-Z, hyping up the energy for an incredible night ahead.

Their first dance to “La Vie En Rose” by Emily Watts was a stunning moment—romantic, intimate, and absolutely unforgettable. As the song faded out during the soft humming section, the couple was met with cheers from their guests.

Heartfelt Toasts & A Memorable Dinner Experience 🥂🍽️

During dinner, the couple’s Maid of Honor, Rachel, and Best Man, Ben, gave touching speeches, sharing stories about Michael & Sarah’s journey together. The music transitioned from Vitamin String Quartet covers into modern Top 40 hits, keeping the energy just right as guests enjoyed their meals.

And of course, what’s dinner without cake? The couple cut their wedding cake to “Sugar, Sugar” by The Archies, a sweet (and fitting) touch! 🍰

Parent Dances & A Packed Dance Floor 💃🕺

One of the most heartfelt moments of the night was the parent dances, featuring:

Sarah & her dad, Nicholas dancing to To Sir With Love by Lulu

Michael & his mom, Marybeth sharing a dance to Mother by Sugarland

Michael & his stepmom, Brooke dancing to My Boy by Elvis Shane (with a special edit to remove any mentions of “dad” for a more personalized touch)

Later in the night, the couple included an Anniversary Dance to You Make Me Feel So Young by Frank Sinatra, celebrating the love and longevity of the married couples in attendance.

The Last Dance: A Perfect Send-Off 🎇

As the night came to an end, Michael & Sarah chose to close out their wedding with “New Light” by John Mayer—a smooth and feel-good way to wrap up a truly amazing night.
