Highlight Moment: One of the most emotional first dances I’ve ever witnessed.

If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like when love, music, and family collide—Katie & Matt’s wedding was the answer.

Set at the picturesque Glastonbury Hills Country Club, this celebration brought together quiet moments of meaning and full-throttle dance floor joy. And from the first heartfelt speech to the last singalong chorus of Eddie Money, this one left a mark.

🎶 A First Dance That Hit Us in the Feels

Their first dance song, “Angel” by Casting Crowns, wasn’t your typical pick—and that’s what made it unforgettable. As the music played, every eye in the room was on them. It was tender, vulnerable, and deeply personal.

You could feel the love in the room, and I won’t lie… there were a few DJs wiping their eyes behind the booth.

🥂 Heartfelt Toasts & Family Ties

Two of the most touching speeches of the night came from Matron of Honor Beth Ann Bolte and Best Man Mike Baldi, who also happens to be Matt’s older brother. Their words added so much warmth and humor to the evening—it felt more like a family reunion than a formal reception.

🍽 Dinner Vibes & Dance Floor Shifts

Dinner flowed smoothly with a prayer from Pastor Jordan, followed by a room-to-room photo dash by Katie & Matt to snag a pic with every table. Once dinner wrapped and cupcakes were announced, the energy shifted—fast.

💃 The Playlist: Personal and Powerful

This couple knew what they wanted musically. From the must-play slow jams at the top of their Spotify list to the energetic request for Beer Barrel Polka, the night was tailored to their story. No explicit tracks, no cringe anthems—just songs that made them feel like them.

A few crowd favorites from the night:

  • 🎶 “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars for the party intro

  • 🎶 “Ballroom Blitz” and “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” for the cake cutting

  • 🎶 “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack as a combined parent dance

  • 🎶 “Take Me Home Tonight” by Eddie Money to close the night strong

Bonus points for Katie’s love of the ‘80s—the throwbacks were on point all night.
