There’s a magic that comes with summer weddings on the water — and Jaclyn & Zach’s celebration at The Lake House Guest Cottages was a perfect example of how to do it your way.

From the start, this couple made it clear: they wanted a day that felt laid-back, full of joy, and free of anything that didn’t feel like them. That meant no line dances, no tired wedding clichés — just good music, good vibes, and one of the most effortlessly fun dance floors I’ve seen all year.

🌿 Ceremony by the Water

The ceremony started with beautiful instrumental covers of “Lover” and “Canon in D” by Paul Hankinson, setting a romantic and relaxed tone as guests settled in lakeside. Officiated by Shannon Lerro, it struck the perfect balance between heartfelt and personal.

They made their grand exit to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours),” followed by “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne as guests cheered and hugged their way into cocktail hour.

🍹 BBQ Vibes & Sunshine Playlists

Cocktail hour was a sun-drenched dream. Guests sipped drinks and mingled with lake views in the background while a curated playlist of old-school bops and feel-good summer tracks created the perfect atmosphere. Think backyard BBQ meets Berkshire chic.

🎉 Dance Floor Energy: 2015 Grads, 2024 Moves

Once the sun dipped and dinner wrapped, it was time for the real party. This dance floor was unreal — packed from the first track to the very last beat. Jaclyn & Zach’s music choices hit that sweet spot: 2010s nostalgia with modern flair, no cringey throwbacks, and absolutely no Kanye, R. Kelly, or Chris Brown (per the request, and yes, we love that energy).

There were no parent dances or formality overkill — just a full-on dance fest. We closed out with a double punch of “All You Need Is Love” by The Beatles and “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen… and that floor did not stop.

💬 Final Thoughts

Jaclyn & Zach’s wedding is proof that your day should reflect you. No forced traditions, no outdated playlists—just a lake, the people you love, and music that keeps your feet moving and your heart full.

If you’re planning a modern summer wedding with personal flair and high-energy vibes, this one’s your new blueprint.
