Location: Berkshire School, Sheffield, MA

Event Type: Semi-Formal Dance

There’s something electric about a school that knows how to party—and the students at Berkshire School? Yeah, they get it.

I had the absolute pleasure of DJing their Green & Gray Semi-Formal, and from the first beat drop, I knew we were in for one of those nights you talk about all semester. Wall-to-wall energy, full-on crowd jumping, and music that hit so hard it knocked two of my lighting fixtures loose (don’t worry—they’ll recover. The lights just partied a little too hard).

From the moment they walked into the transformed space, this crowd brought nothing but good vibes. There were spontaneous dance battles, huge group singalongs, and that perfect moment when everyone’s jumping in sync like they’re at a stadium show. Every time I thought the energy might dip? Nope—they cranked it even higher.

And as a DJ, that’s the dream. Give me a crowd that’s down to dance, shout every lyric, and turn a school gym into a mini music festival—and I’ll give you a night to remember.

🎧 Setlist Highlights

  • “Levels” – Avicii (because some songs never miss)

  • “Party in the USA” – because it had to happen

  • “Mr. Brightside” – you already know the floor exploded

  • Plus some secret sauce edits I saved just for this group 😉

🕺 Why I Love School Dances

Sure, I DJ a lot of weddings, but semi-formals like this remind me why I started doing this in the first place: music that moves people—literally. When a crowd jumps so hard it shakes the gear, you know you did your job right.

Berkshire School, you crushed it. Let’s do it again next year.
